Les Coughran
Les M. Coughran is an associate of the firm. He received his law degree from the University of Washington, where he was a member of the Pacific Rim Law and Policy Journal. He also received his undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Washington in Business Administration (finance emphasis). He was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and received a Mary Gates Research Training Grant for his research in the area of U.S. pension policy. Les has experience with a wide range of benefit programs, and his practice emphasizes fiduciary counseling. Les has significant experience with 401(k) plans and providing advice on correcting operational errors using IRS-approved methods. He also helps multiemployer and governmental clients with their health reimbursement arrangements (HRAs) and other supplemental retiree medical programs.
